1.3 Mobile app analytics and attribution (AppsFlyer)

We use AppsFlyer to measure app installs, campaign performance, and in-app events. AppsFlyer may process device identifiers, app activity, IP-derived approximate location, and technical data for analytics, attribution, fraud prevention, and advertising measurement. When you are signed in, we may associate your account with a customer user identifier so measurement is consistent across devices and platforms. 1.4 Information from third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Apple, Google, or another supported provider, we receive information that provider shares with us (such as a unique account identifier and, where permitted, your name or email address) in accordance with that provider's policies and your choices.

Estimate nutrition information, personalize goals, and deliver insights based on your inputs
Authenticate your identity and manage your account

3. AI and automated processing

Some features use automated systems, including artificial intelligence provided by OpenAI, to analyze meal descriptions, photos, or other content you submit. This includes meal photo recognition, text-based food analysis, and AI coach meal tips. Outputs are estimates for informational purposes only and are not medical advice. Relevant content may be sent to OpenAI to operate these features, under contractual safeguards where applicable.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

OpenAI - to analyze meal photos, text descriptions, and provide AI coach features
Cloudflare R2 - to store meal photos you upload in production
Mailjet - to deliver transactional and service-related emails (such as welcome messages, password resets, and optional follow-up emails described below)
RevenueCat - to manage in-app subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play
AppsFlyer - for install attribution, campaign measurement, and in-app event analytics
Sign-in providers you choose to connect (such as Apple or Google)
App store platforms when required for subscriptions or account management
Other service providers who help us host infrastructure and operate the Service, under appropriate contractual safeguards
Authorities, regulators, or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or safety

5. Health-related data

Information you enter about your body, habits, or goals may be sensitive. We treat it carefully and use it only to provide and improve the Service, unless you consent otherwise or we are required to use it for another lawful purpose. Calorie Genie AI is not a medical device and does not provide clinical diagnosis or treatment.

6. Data storage and security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Meal photos uploaded in production are stored in Cloudflare R2 and are deleted when you delete your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

7. Marketing communications

We may send you a limited number of service-related follow-up emails after you sign up or cancel a subscription, to help you get started or return to the Service. These are not unrelated promotional blasts. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link. If you opt out, we will stop sending marketing follow-up emails but may still send important transactional messages (such as password resets).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your personal information
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Request a copy of your data in a portable format
Object to or restrict certain processing
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete your account and associated data at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by contacting us at support@calorie-genie.com.

12. Children

Calorie Genie AI is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
